First consignment of ribbed sheets for exports at Saba Steel Complex

Saba Steel Complex produced a first consignment of ribbed sheets for exports in line with the DIN 59220 standard in Mehr (September 22 – October 21), said Saba Steel’s Operations Manager Mahmoud Mohammadi Fesharaki.

He further said these sheets measure up to international standards in terms of mechanical properties, dimensional tolerance and chemical analysis, adding the production of ribbed sheets which has increased the number of items in the company’s basket of products can help meet the demands of domestic and foreign markets.  

He said the complex has set a new record when it comes to production of hot rolled coils (85 percent), adding the coils are 2 mm in thickness, and 1,000 and 1,250 mm in width. “Given the need of domestic plants for 2-mm sheets, we have built on efforts by the personnel of Saba Steel Complex and worked out plans to increase the production of such sheets since early 1395 (started March 20, 2016). In the September-October period, we managed to increase the production of ribbed sheets to a record 85 percent.”     

The previous record of 2-mm ribbed sheets production was 65 percent set in Shahrivar (August 22 – September 21), he said, adding the new record shows a 20 percent rise over the previous one.

In conclusion, he thanked all colleagues, managers, their deputies and the company’s managing director for their support which assisted Saba Steel set the new records.
