MSC committed to roads development, social responsibility since foundation: Minister of Roads
Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, who was in Mobarakeh to inaugurate a number of development projects to mark the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, went on an inspection tour of Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC) in early February.
Accompanying the minister on the tour were Zahra Saeedi, who represents Mobarakeh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Hamid Assarzadegan, the governor of this central town, and a number of Mobarakeh officials.
In an interview with the correspondent of Steel Newsletter, the roads and urban development chief said Mobarakeh Steel Company is an economic institution which has been committed, ever since its foundation, to development of roads and to social responsibility.
Recalling the economic role of MSC and the volume of cargo that moves overland in the country thanks to the activities of the steel giant, he said on average more than 20 million tons of MSC raw materials and products are transferred by train or road each year and that attention to development of railways and roads on top of growing production is a major advantage of this company.
During the same visit, Saeedi told the Steel Newsletter correspondent that MSC has played a remarkable role in the economic boom of the country and the region.
As for the Isfahan-Mobarakeh subway, which is under construction, she said although this project is funded by the government, contributions by MSC will be crucial to speeding up its implementation. When the project is completed, many of MSC staff members can use the underground for their daily commute in the future, she concluded.
