Cooperation of European Companies & Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company
Chief executive officers of SMS Siemag and German Autotech companies paid a visit to Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company and met with Dr. Sobhani, Chief executive officer of MSC to discuss ways of bilateral cooperation in line with the execution of the expansion projects. According to the report sent by our correspondent, in this meeting, these European companies declared their readiness to increase their presence in Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company and their cooperation in the faster execution of the expansion projects running there.
The very report also says that Dr. Damen, Chief executive officer of SMS Siemag declared his happiness of being in MSC and in reference to his company’s obligations regarding Hormozgan Steel and the provision of the spare parts needed by that company, as well as the expansion projects of Hormozgan Steel, particularly its comprehensive plan, and cooperation in the company’s performance and removal of discrepancies that exist with respect to dolomite plant and steel making plant were discussed and it was decided that their experts attend MSC and take steps towards these goals.
SMS Siemag chief executive officer also declared his readiness to participate in the tender for the second hot rolling mill of MSC and received copies of tender documents and stated his willingness in the startup of the RHT project related to the production of automotive grade steel products in the steel making plant. Also it was agreed that SMS Siemag participate in the expansion projects running in Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company.
Meanwhile, Dr. Weber Chief executive officer and member of the board of directors of German Autotech paid a visit to the production lines of MSC during which he talked with our correspondent saying, “Our company has been active in mines and metals for over a hundred years and the company’s main field of activities is the concentrating and pelletizing plants.”
He went on to say, “Over 70 percent of the pelletizing plants around the world have been built in cooperation with our company, and the company has been present in the Iranian  market for over 35 years, and has received approvals to sell its products to the Iranian  market during the sanctions from the European Union.”
Referring to the company’s involvement in the construction and startup of the pelletizing plant of MSC Autotech CEO said, “Our goal of this visit was to cooperate in the improvement of the pelletizing plant facilities because MSC has implemented good strategies for the optimization and increasing the capacity of its pelletizing plants. Therefore we are ready for long term strategic cooperation, because the pelletizing plant of MSC is the biggest of its kind in the world and among the few plants whose air is clean. Its well-experienced personnel have enabled MSC to increase its capacity from 4 million ton to 7.1 million ton without adding any new equipment to this plant.”
He went on to say, “MSC pelletizing plant can be introduced to other countries of the world as a paradigm, because the ability to construct such a plant in other countries is present in MSC.”
Dr. Weber Pointed out that Autotech Company can in collaboration with MSC, increase the MSC pelletizing capacity of this plant by 10 to 15 percent by optimizing its facilities and adding some other equipment to this unit.
